Any News On Basketball Recruiting?

I see Anthony Bennett (edited from Tony Parker) eliminated us from his finalists. We still don't have a commit for next year. With Buford graduating and Sullinger 95% leaving, that leaves us with two spots. Who are we targeting?

Marc Loving already gave his commitment to OSU back in the summer of '10. Small Forward from Toledo OH out of St. John's Jesuit. School is only 20 minutes from where I live. Ranked 2nd in the state of Ohio. 27th National.

OSU is currently targeting Julius Randle, Power Forward from Plano TX out of Prestonwood Christian Academy. Has offers from 8 schools including tOSU. Ranked the 2nd player nationally for the class of 2013.

Also targeting Malik Price-Martin, Power Forward from Opa Locka (Close to Miami) FL out of Monsignor Edward Pace. Currently has 6 offers including tOSU. Ranked 4th in the state of Florida, 33rd nationally.

Also have an offer out for Brannen Greene, but he committed to Kansas a couple weeks ago. 35th Nationally ranked.

Scouts are looking at James Young, Small Forward from Troy MI out of Troy HS. Only has an offer from Florida St. Ranked 1st in the state of Michigan, 22nd nationally.

Parker didn't eliminate OSU. Where did you see that?

nvm. that was anthony bennett without osu in his top 5. i'm getting my centers named tony confused. so it sounds like parker is our top target and amile jefferson is the back-up option.

that's all 2013 news posted above. i'm talking 2012.

Anthony Bennett will most likely end up in San Francisco.

Tony Parker I think is down to Memphis or Ohio State.

Tony Parker will be OSU, Duke or UCLA. I like OSU's chances. Amile Jefferson has OSU high too but don't like the chances.

Big Tony Parker would look sweet in the Scarlet and Gray! Get that big cat in the weight room and eating right and he is a #1 lottery pick!

I saw Julius Randle play a few years ago back when he was a freshman. That kid can really play! I'm not sure how much bigger he is now, but he was 6'8" as A FRESHMAN!!!

It's true... We really are a bunch of nuts!
Go Bucks!

I would think that DeShaun Thomas is a 70% leave guy.

Sounds like Parker is the only guy we are recruiting for 2012.  He is a must get in my opinion.  If Sully leaves we will have no bigs with any offensive game at all.

But it sounds like we may not get Parker.  This is from ESPN's insider page today.

Recently we wrote about how UCLA appears to be set up well for next season, and if a recent report by Tracy Pierson of BruinReportOnline.com ends up being true, the Bruins could quickly become contenders.

Pierson wrote on Friday that, according to sources, SF Shabazz Muhammad (No. 2 recruit in 2012) and PF Tony Parker (No. 21 recruit in 2012) have recently indicated they are coming to UCLA.

"Muhammad and Parker will sign NLIs in April and, of course, there's a long time between now and then," wrote Pierson. "But barring unforeseen circumstances, the intention of Muhammad and Parker right now is to sign with UCLA."

If the Bruins are able to pull this off they'd suddenly have one of the top recruiting classes in the country joining a roster that already has some key pieces in place. We'll be sure to let you know if we hear more about this juicy rumor in the months ahead.

Hopefully this report is not true, I thought we were the leader for Parker.
