No love for hoops on this site. Least not from April-December. EDIT-From the readers that is.

Don't even get me started about supposed rabid Buckeye fans that will only give hoops the time of day once the big ten season starts.
One more bit of hoops news from Baptist says we'll have some recruits on campus for the game this weekend:
2011
PG Shannon Scott (committed)
SF Sam Thompson
PF-C Mikael Hopkins
2012
SF Jeremy Hollowell
I'm an OSU grad, and I will freely admit that I'm that kind of fan. To me, basketball is something to keep me occupied until National Signing Day.
But it's also not as if I'll sit down and fervently watch a Duke-UNC game. It's just how I feel about college basketball in general. I'm also not one to rain on Buckeye basketball fans' parades if they're doing well (even though I do think it's "cute").
As long as you don't jump on the bandwagon when they reach the Final Four, I guess I can live with that :) Nice user-name, btw.
You're a phan?
Most definitely. 35-ish shows under my belt dating back to Clifford Ball. Just hit all three nights at Berkeley and both nights at Deer Creek. Was hoping to hit all three nights in AC but got shutout through lottery and don't have energy to pursue further. I'm confident they'll have another month long tour involving NYE so I'll wait.
Very nice. Modest stats myself (24 shows). Didn't really start touring until Phish 2.0. I'm not going to stretch myself for Fall Tour, so I'm with you. I'm hoping for another Cincy date or two.
I hear you. Two night runs at Cincy are ideal. That venue is decent and the drive is nothing.
I know what you mean about basketball being the forgotten sport at Ohio State. Such a shame considering how great the teams have been.
I am actually writing a series profiling the incoming freshman for this season for insidetheshoe.com. Second part should be up tonight for those interested.
I love Buckeye basketball, not the way I love the football, but I'm pretty passionate about it. I have been to games where I've just been embarrassed by our (lack of) fans -- even last year when the Villian was going at it we still didn't show up for games. It was tough to get to games right after work but I made it happen. It's even tougher getting a good seat for a decent price. The seating in that place sucks for the cost and I think that is part of the issue with folks not buying into the basketball program as much as they would probably like to. I called to inquire on how to get into the Huntinging Club seats and laughed after I found out how expensive it is. It makes being in the Buckeye Club for football look cheap. If they want folks to show up for basketball games they need to fix the problem with the seating. IMHO.......
And I welcome Buckeye basketball talk year round.
I've been a Buckeye basketball fan before I was a football fan. I went to a lot of games when I was younger, and still living in Ohio. The Michael Redd and Scoonie Penn days. Went to the last regular season game at St John's with my 8th grade basketball team. We chased Jimmy Jackson into the parking lot to get his autograph.
