Rush released their most successful album "Moving Pictures" sometime around today in 1981 (some say it was February 7 and some say the 12th). If you are a casual Rush fan this is the album you are most likely to own as it includes the hit "Tom Sawyer". If you are a hardcore Rush fan this is the album you recognize is great but you rarely listen to since you're sick of hearing it on the radio.
The album contains only seven tracks but not a single song is filler. I'd bet lots of Whoa Nellie's money that if you listened to your favorite classic rock station for a day you would hear at least two of the first four tracks - "Tom Sawyer", "Red Barchetta", "YYZ", "Limelight". This makes sense as "Moving Pictures" was Rush's highest charting album at #3 and has sold over 4 million copies.
Each band member was at the top of their game during the recording of this album. No song exemplifies this better than "YYZ":
