I'm currently an Linux administrator for a government partner so you would think I wouldn't have to ask such questions.  However, I only work with Red Hat Enterprise and Solaris. 

My question here is what the best Linux OS distro is for transitioning from Windows 10 that would make it easy for my wife to be able to use.  I have Mint on one of my laptops but she doesn't seem to like it much.

I tend to spend most of my day on xterminals or any other variation thereof, so it doesn't really matter to me the distro as I will continue to use said tools.

Also, what experiences do you have using Wine to runs Windows 32 bit programs?
