Mrs. Alum and I are looking at tablet computers to get for our kids. Daughter Alum is 7 and Son Alum is 5. Their only real exposure to tech involves the Leap Pad things for kids. Mrs. Alum and I have no Apple products in our house and we're both pretty loyal to Amazon (Prime, Kindle, etc.). We've sort of narrowed it down to an iPad or a Kindle but we really don't know which way to go. We're not the type to buy new gear every time something comes out so we want some staying power. We also want educational apps so it doesn't turn into a glorified video game. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thanks
