Happy Father's Day, 11W crew.

The Mrs and I are getting a rare night out on our family trip to Louisiana and we'll be staying overnight this Thursday in NOLA.  Since it's been 8 years since we lived there, I thought it'd be worthwhile getting some updated recommendations on restaurants and night spots.

We try staying away from the touristy or cliche spots, especially Bourbon Street's rowdy section.

The Garden and Warehouse Districts are in bounds, though I doubt we'll venture all the way down St Charles to visit Jaques-Imos (one of our favorites).

After dinner we're thinking about hitting up Frenchman St to check in on DBA, Spotted Cat and Snug Harbor.  Gotta stop by Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop and Cafe du Monde for a late night snack.
