15 years ago Apple opened its first retail store. I remember when they first ventured into retail people said they would fail because they were a computer company and would only offer Apple products and select ones form other vendors. Now, Apple Stores often have the highest revenue per square foot numbers of any retail establishment. Other vendors, remember Gateways's farm themed stores?, tried and failed. Meanwhile Apple Stores still draw crowds when a new one opens and some have integrated the store with iconic architecture.
I just wonder where they'll park the Apple Car...
