Credit to NHBuckeye for the idea of getting all threads created by Purple Ribbon Avatars, because I wasn't going to, but thought it would be a good gesture.
So I'm supposed to go Sporting Clay Shooting for the first time tomorrow (weather permitting, but not looking good). Any suggestions/recommendations when it comes to shooting, gun choice, etc.? I love to shoot, but never got into hunting (considering it now, but I don't really feel the need to field dress a deer; might start with birds/waterfowl). I own a few guns, including a 12ga, but it's of the tactical variety, so I don't know if I even can/should use it to shoot sporting clays. You can rent guns at the place, so it's not a problem. Should I go Over/Under or Side by Side? Pump or Semi Auto make a difference?
