Inspired by the discussion of Eli Apple's experience of being asked by an NFL team if he likes men. Mods, please nuke this ASAP if it's been done before.
I've been offered a different job than the one I showed up to interview for, although that's perhaps not uncommon. I've also been interviewed by some idiot who admitted that he himself was a candidate for the job. And I've been asked to actually perform work (of a professional nature) without any pay in order to be considered for a job. Unfortunately nothing I could sue for, so far as I know, but stuff that's downright tawdry at best, and more or less unethical as well.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's found out the hard way that it's time to cross this or that effed company off the list. Let's hear your stories.
