OK, this thread is for you old fossils like myself who were around then. It became the main impetus of why I moved from Ohio to Texas 18 months after the event. The most vivid memory I had of the blizzard was the violent thunder-snow storm that preceded the blizzard in the early morning hours of January 26th. My car was flash-frozen to the curb, and the howling winds buried it in place. We didn't move anywhere for three days. It was a herculean task just to shovel snow. I'll never forget that particular weather event as long as the Man Upstairs grants me a memory.
