I'm one fifth Irish, and my mom just made some really good chicken dumpling thing that comes from our ancestors in Ireland, which is what gave me the idea for this thread since I'm bored a week into this offseason.
My favorite recipe is one my Grandmother makes that comes from my German lineage (1/4) which is a beef stroganoff (stroganoff isn't just from the Russians). The sauce in that thing is just second to none.
The most interesting dish in this spectrum for me is probably the Cabbage rolls that come from my Macedonian heritage (1/7).
So, what's your favorite recipe from your ancestors?
