Sunday Metal Shop returns to answer one of mankind’s eternal questions. What would you get if you dropped the Beatles and Black Sabbath into a smoothie blender and mixed in a pint of liquid LSD, the deleted scenes from a 1960s snuff film, a liter of ball sweat from the local chapter of the Hells Angels, the pasties from seven go-go dancers, a leaflet from Jim Jones and the People’s Temple, Hunter Thompson’s liver and Anton LaVey’s pubes? The answer is Uncle Acid & the deadbeats.
The band formed in Cambridge, England in 2009 and are a disconcerting mix of psychedelic rock and heavy riffs. They released their first album, “Volume 1”, in 2010 and followed with “Blood Lust” in the following year. In 2013 Uncle Acid & the deadbeats released their third album, “Mind Control”, and also opened for Black Sabbath on their tour of the UK.
