Tradition plays a large role in the wonderful sport that is college football. What makes college football much better than the NFL is the way in which students and fans alike are able to participate in the pageantry of longstanding traditions that stretch across multiple decades. Traditions such as Script Ohio, and the retrieval of the Illibuck and Shiny Gold Pants from the clutches of our rivals are only a few examples of the many time-honored treasures that make Ohio State the great university that it is. Many other colleges and universities have similar traditions that are just as great as the ones we know and love as Buckeye fans. Traditions such as Toomers Corner, RockyTop, and the meatchicken banner are definitely great for the sport. However, the tradition that trumps them all is, winning.

Throughout the history of College Football we have seen some schools come (Oregon, Baylor, TCU) and others go (Minnesota, Army, Navy, SMU, Yale, Harvard) in regard to winning tradition. Historically, the blueblood list has been listed as the following: Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, and USC. In 2015, as some schools have failed in showing recent dominance, I wonder if it is time to remove some schools from this prestigious list. In developing a new list of CFB bluebloods, I challenge you to look at all of the things that is vital for a school to claim its status as one of the Kings of the ring (or gridiron).
