Yes, we have a game this weekend and it is not officially Beat *ichigan Week yet, although it is Beat *ichigan Weeks.  It is officially 1 week before Mirror Lake night, the greatest craziest tradition in college football, and ICYMI thanks to Gene Smith and Jim Delany, OSU will play TTUN on Thanksgiving Week. This forces Mirror Lake night to not fall on Thursday, but rather on Tuesday.

As a precaution, the university will send 100's of cops to Mirror Lake to laugh and take pictures with drunk students to keep everything at a reasonable safety level.  They will be implementing the wristband system again.

The university announced on Sunday morning that the wristband and fencing system would again be in place this year. This marks the third year the system has been implemented.

The current forecast for next Tuesday is a low of 30 degrees with no precipitation which isn't terrible.  You kids are lucky it isn't below freezing and snowing/raining.

Read the official Department of Public Safety’s guidelines and safety tips for the jump here.  A few laughable notes:

  • If you choose to jump into Mirror Lake, please keep the following safety tips in mind: Do not drink alcohol or engage in drug use.
  • Dress properly and bring a towel, dry clothes and shoes to change into after exiting Mirror Lake.
  • Do not dive or flip into the lake.
  • Never push others into the lake.

If you plan on going, have fun--but please be safe and be aware of your surroundings.

tldr: If you plan on attending Mirror Lake, get your wristbands at the RPAC or go rogue and tear down the fence.
