It takes forever for them to receive their super powers, and then there is no tension buildup into a climax. Doom is defeated pretty quickly. The movie was about an hour and 40 minutes long, and it was hard to get invested in any of the characters as it seemed so superficial. 

There are rumors that there was trouble between Trank the director and the studio, and that they came in and finished the third act, and gutted the movie and took out 3 action scenes. It's sad because it had a lot of promise. The reviews are accurate that is a bust, and there is no need to see it at the theater. It looks like Mission Impossible beat it in its second week as well.
