Sunday Metal Shop reaches back to the halcyon days of metal to bring you a member of the Big Four of Thrash, Megadeth. No conversation about Megadeth ever occurs without a reference to Metallica, due to singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine's involvement in both bands. While they've long been portrayed as the kid brother to Metallica, it is the opinion of SMS that Megadeth has surpassed Metallica when viewing the entire body of work of both bands.
Megadeth has released 14 studio albums with seven of them coming since 1999. Not only have they stayed busy they've continued to improve and evolve. Their first five albums are canonical - "Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good", "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?", "So Far, So Good...So What?", "Rust In Peace", "Countdown to Extinction" - and they lead the league in unnecessary use of ellipses. (What can you say? It was the 1980s and Megadeth trafficked in ellipses in the same way Motorhead or Motley Crue used the umlaut.)
