It's been a long day and unfortunately it has ended with the passing of my beloved overweight cat, Sloopy.  I have no idea how old she was because we rescued her years ago from a shelter.

My wife and I were looking for a companion for our dog and didn't want to get a puppy so we went to the local Humane Society.  I must have seen 100 cats and Sloopy caught my eye.  She was morbidly obese but quite loving.  I wasn't a cat person at the time and quite honestly couldn't stand them for the most part.  But this one was different.  So we took her home and put her on a diet as the vet suggested.  That was four years ago and the shelter suspected she was around 5-8 years old. 

After four years of battling with my Golden, and having fun doing it, Sloopy has gone to kitty heaven.  May she rest in peace.
