My Fiancee's TV took a lightning strike and lost the battle, the surge protector never tripped and all the other components that were plugged into it were fine. Other than the FireTV box, so I'm guessing the Coax Cable took a direct strike. Her wireless fence box which was plugged into an outlet in the garage literally blew up.
It's is a 47" LCD Panasonic and she thinks it's 4 or 5 years old, would it be worth the cost to have it repaired?
Looking at new TV's what are the Specifications I should be looking for? If we buy a new TV we're going to look at buying a 60", we would like to stay around $1200 but if we think it is worth it we may pony up to $1500.
For those that reply, thank you in advance.
