I have a habit of watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee on ESPN and I am always amazed by the humility of these kids. Even when they spell the word incorrectly, they thank the judges and the audience before greeting their family members. That being said, I don't think I would have acted in that sort of manner when I was 13-14 (I had a bit of a competitive streak).
My question to you all: what would be your final words if you saw a judge reaching for the bell after your spelling attempt? Something subtle or aggressive?
