Now that the weather is warming up here in Columbus I was starting to think about summer. I know many of you are not from Columbus, but I thought it would be cool to hear where we hung out and what we all did in the summer as kids.

I hung out at a small park in the southend of Columbus called Karnes Park. Played basketball, baseball, softball, football, whiffle ball, tether ball, horseshoes, etc. They had park leaders and a shelter house. Played in organized leagues for baseball and softball. On days when it rained we hung out in the shelter house and played euchre, hearts, chess, and various board games. Also played basketball at Schiller Park, much tougher competition.

Went a lot to a pool nearby called Crystal and made several trips to Cedar Point during the summer. Went to the Ohio State Fair 3 or 4 times during it's run. Also went to about 15-20 Reds games a year.
