I believe I would have pursued talk radio had I known it was going to mushroom into what it has.

In the late 70's I remember Larry King being on the radio from midnight to like 6 am and I always thought how cool it would be to talk for a living.

Later I remember being an avid listener of WLW with Jim Scott, Mike McConnell, Gary Burbank, Bob Trumpy, Chris Collinsworth, Andy Furman, and Bill Cunningham (before he got all Springer-like on TV).

Like it, or hate it, but political talk really took the genre to the next level.

Besides, I have a face and body built just for radio :-)
