This dude takes an LSU player's gear and sells it for him. Chooses jail over ratting out the player. No witch hunt, no coverage, no Outside the Lines in Baton Rouge, no real mention other than some cheap Yahoo hack article. Just a ho-hum southern network of omerta and nothing to see here.
It's not like they could check shoe size and glove size and markings on the equipment to get to the bottom of this Scooby Doo case. It would be phenomenal if they tracked down the player and we found out he bought a tattoo with the cash.
Really not even sure how this is a police matter - other than LSU posturing that it was stolen to head off any institutional and/or player accountability here.
