Just wanted to share this article I came across from Yahoo Sports regarding Hayden Schaumburg, a 16 year old high school football player from Watseka, Illinois who was injured in a game two weeks ago.

Inspiring story about a young man and a farming community rallying around him and his family. I particularly wanted to note the mentioning of Tim Beckman, who recently spoke with Hayden in a showing of support from the University of Illinois.

The B1G may be the subject of criticism this football season for all the on-field shortcomings, but it's heartwarming to read midwesterners coming together on behalf of one of their own.
