Hopefully many of you will be descending on Baltimore for the OSU-Navy season kickoff. As we all know this game will be a high nooner. That shouldn't affect tailgaters, but many are traveling without a grill and will need some guidance on where to get warmed up for 2014. For those of you who wont have the means to tailgate, I have contacted two nearby bars that I think would be ideal for OSU fans. Their pregame plans are below:

Pickles Pub, which is the #1 Orioles pregame spot, will be open at 8:00am with their gameday specials (16oz can beer for $4). The OSU v Navy game will have sound on inside and outside if you don't have a ticket. Also, during the O's game at 7pm they will have $2 16oz cans from 2nd inning to end of the 8th if you don't have plans later.

Magerks Pub & Grill, Baltimore's main OSU watch bar, is opening at 8:30am. They should be packed with an all OSU crowd in the fun neighborhood of Federal Hill.

Both of these bars are a half mile walk to the stadium, Magerks is east of the stadium in Federal Hill at S. Charles St. and E. Cross St. Pickles is north of the stadium adjacent to Camden Yards on Washington Blvd.

Update 8/21 - I spoke with the stadium, there will be alcohol sales at the game with an exception to the vendors located behind the Navy seating areas

NOTE: if you have something to add let me know and I will make edits. I don't work for these places, just recommending them to our fans.

Also, I have two tickets that I just want a Buckeye to enjoy. 37 row in the endzone. They are yours for face. I can meet you before the game at one of the establishments mentioned above.

See you guys there! Never been to Baltimore before so I was wondering if you were using sarcasm when you said "the fun neighborhood of federal hill"?

Federal Hill and Fells Point are both fun. Federal Hill is a shorter walk, but the walk to Fells Point takes you through Little Italy and some really cool old-ass row houses. Some fantastic bars over in Fells Point. Apparently there's some fun things to do in the Canton neighborhood as well, though I haven't been.

Thanks for this info, Dcbucks. I'll be looking for a post game spot so this certainly helps a great deal.

Also worth noting is that the Twins and Orioles are in town for a 4 game set.

Reds and Orioles start a three game set on Tuesday...  Wish I would have know this before booking.

Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...

Hey DC area Buckeyes, I am moving close to U Street with two current DC-ites that are also Buckeyes fans. Would love to get together for games and whatnot.

Apropos of nothing, The Saloon on U St is a wonderful bar to go to and have a conversation with friends. It's no good for sports, though, as they have no TVs.

There is a nice bar (with a smoking section) in Alexandria its a pizza joint called Bugsies, pretty damn good food, I occasionally end up there on gameday

U Street is a fine area. DC has been great fun for my post-grad life. If you're new to the area, Brixton and Marvin are my favorite non-sports bars near U Street. Public Bar is about 5 minutes away and its slammed on gamedays.

Do not under any circumstance order the pickle shot from pickles. Eew.

Is it a "Pickleback" or something even worse?

For those of you going to the game, have fun and be sure to represent OSU well. I want to hear the O-H-I-O chant from my TV.

Don't you worry! It will break your surround sound.

Hey guys I still have tickets. I really want them to go to true Buckeye fans so I'll let em go to a 11wer for cheapie.

Also, I am going to Magerks Sat morning. I hope to see you there.

Another thing, I'd love to try some pit-beef. Where should I go for that?
