Allan Field

You'd think for $60 million they would have built a safe structure...

The Allen High School football team—months shy of pursuing a third straight Texas state championship—has a foundation as strong as any program in the nation. It seems the same can't be said for Eagle Stadium, the squad's expansive home venue that rivals some college facilities.

Less than 21 months after a $60 million project concluded with the first kickoff of Allen's title-winning 2012 campaign, Eagle Stadium is closing down for 2014, reports Julieta Chiquillo of The Dallas Morning News. [MORE]

Something tells me they don't have a problem with getting the faculty to accept "Spring Football". lol

I appreciate it. Could be on my end but I tried clicking it 3 times. Really interested in Allen as they are a powerhouse in maybe the toughest HS football state. Good article and if they feel in anyway it isn't structurally sound then indeed close it down because 10,000 people falling in crumbling stands while knowing it could happen would be down right terrorism. That's something I would leave up to happy valley in the name of football.

It's possible that you have malware embedded in your browser that is selectively redirecting links you click on.  They can be nasty to remove...  my wife accidentally clicked an advertisement that within seconds had taken over the entire computer the other day and it was fun cleaning it up for her (she didn't know that you aren't supposed to click "Allow" when User Account Control pops up while surfing the web). :)  It's amazing how many nooks and crannies they can find to hide in.

I believe you are right. Happened right after my wife started playing her little games on facebook. She clicks allow on anything that pops up like a 5 year old would do. Going to run a couple free scanners like avast or avg. Thanks for the heads up because I do notice it progressing.

Texas basically has year round HS football.  The off season (in between Fall ball and Spring ball) has the players in a 'football' class during school where they basically study the game, lift weights, train for the upcoming season.  Summer brings a brief respite before they start all the clinics, camps, and 7 on 7 things (as well as 11 on 11).  We have a couple of transplanted TX coaches where I live in Washington.  They basically welcome the fact that they can actually have a life here.

Oh by the way Kyler Murray the Allen QB is going to win a Heisman and I wish to God Herman could get more in his ear.

Who should they fire?

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Maybe the guy or company doing the architectural design?

I think it would be the structural engineer that stamped the drawings.
