PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Entertaining quiz I found. I went 10 of 20, guessing on all but 2.
12. Complete guess on every one.
12 guessed in all but pitinos horse
11, but should be 12 correct because both answers to question #12 are correct. Orb may be a race horse, but it is/was an indie band (with an electronica flavor) back in the 90s. But I don't expect the editors of Business Insider to necessarily know that.
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
well that was actually quite fun. good post!
16. But that probably speaks more to my knowledge of indie bands than race horses.
17. I had to guess on most of them, but I've perused a lot of Daily Racing Forms at horse racing tracks over the years, so I have a good feel for weird horse names.
Big indie fan, so I got on a roll. 17 of 20.
Good times. Think I'll use it with my class as a teacher for fun.
Fear The Kitten should be an emo band.
Tame Impala is an amazingly good band. Huge in Australia, featured in the most recent Rolling Stone magazine.
16 of 20 because of my love of indie rock
Band of Horses seemed like a no-brainer to include in this one.
Love me some Band of Horses
Saw them at the Ryman Auditorium last weekend. Great show.
Great venue to see anything.
Except the Wiggles. I took my daughter to see them at the Ryman last year. I've been there probably 15 times and this was the one time I wasn't all that excited about it, but she had a good time.
Yeah, they really haven't been the same since Greg had to quit Wiggling.
File this under TMI regarding the Wiggles: Greg was actually back for this tour. But sadly for Wiggles fan everywhere, Greg, Jeff and Murray will no longer be wiggling. The "new" Wiggles include one original member, Anthony, 2 new dudes, and a chick.
This thread just took a disturbing detour. Pretty sure Roy Acuff, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline all turned over simultaneously in their graves at the first bar of "Fruit Salad".
Captain Feathersword and his, um, feather sword, would like a word with you...
I haven't seen them in a couple of years when they were at the LC. I think it was right after Infinite Arms came out...
I got 17 correct... I knew a few of them. I'm an indie rock kind of guy.
Only 11 out of 20 which is better than a coin flip when I know nothing about horse racing or indie bands.
18 out of 20
(I forgot the band is THE Orb...gah!)
I got 7... apparently, 50/50 chance doesn't apply to me
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
16 out of 20. Fun little quiz. I was going through and hitting all of the indie bands that I knew for sure and accidentally hit indie band on one that didn't quite scroll all the way through. I would've guessed horse on that one since I hadn't heard of it before, but it still would've been a guess and at best I get 17...fun nonetheless!
