I've been in situations similar to this, both as a player and an Umpire, but this is walking a fine line of integrity. On one hand, it's not fair to tell your players to take a fall on purpose, but on the other hand it becomes demoralizing for the other team. The coach of the winning team offered to have his kids bunt while stepping on home plate (an automatic out) but the umpire didn't want to affect the integrity of the game.
The game ended after 3 innings due to darkness.
What do you guys think? Do you tell your team to get out on purpose once you're up 20-30 to 0, or do you play on?
