As a Bostonian and a diehard B's fan, this was probably one of my favorite moments in B's history outside of the 2011 Cup run (born in '84, so post-Orr). Was flying back to Boston last night, and I would have paid whatever it might have cost to be in the building if I was in town.
I am from Newton, Mass, but claim Boston as my hometown. Feeling better today after knowing all my family and friends who run or observe/cheer every year are safe.
My dad grew up on Rockledge Rd (if that rings a bell), and went to Newton North.
Just saw that there is a gunman on the MIT campus. Maybe things are coming to a head now. Here's hoping someone puts the perps in their graves...
