I literally just finished reading his book a few weeks ago. Very sad. I want to think that there is more to this story though that we aren't ever going to find out.

Heartbreaking for this to happen at home after surviving what he had in service. These guys do so much for us as their families sacrifice as well. And with these elite special forces guys, the families at home don't even know where their loved ones are are in the world, especially not what they are doing. My nephew is one of "those guys" and he has two little girls at home and we never know where he is. The last thing we knew of way after the fact is they prepped him to blend in, in Jordan. Just dropped him in and left him to take care of a target. Think of that! This was one of many objectives he has been sent on. And there will be many more. You would never know what he does just to meet him. He is a super individual. But to know that someone of his character, and many others just like him that may not be in special forces, watches over us all is great to know. Thank you to all of you folks that serve and protect us. I pray for your protection as well as for the peace of this family that just had such a tremendous loss.

As a person fortunate enough to serve this country, thank you for posting this. Not just for Chris, but for all of us who serve or have served.
the man was doing some great things for vets with PTSD. I have friends who suffer, and it's not brought to light nearly as much as it should be.

This is almost eerie to me. I had never heard of this guy before in my life until I was digging around on youtube yesterday and I clicked on a video of Chris doing an interview with Conan O'Brian. Then today I hear this. RIP Mr. Kyle
