I have a friend who is a youth minister at Christ the King Worship Center in Lewis Center. Tyler and Megan Lyon have a daughter, Maggie who has Cancer. She has what I believe is called a Wilms tumor that causes her kidneys to be fused together. through corrective surgery, they were able to repair this much. She has tumors through out her blood stream and into her heart. I believe she also has a tumor in her lung but I'm not sure? Maggie is only 6 years old and went to Children's Hospital in Columbus for a tummy ache when they found the original tumor. They have had to stop giving Maggie chemo at this time because she is simply too sick to continue with the treatments for now. As I understand things, it seems to be progressing much worse than to be expected but with prayers, all things are possible and if anyone could beat this, it would be little Maggie! She is a very sweet young lady but is going through an awful lot that no 6 year old should have to endure. I have spoken to Jason who suggested that maybe some of our forum members could purchase a t-shirt supporting Maggie and possibly send it to Maggie. She also has two brothers and if any of you know what it is like for a a child to be diagnosed with cancer, you realize that it's not just the child that is diagnosed, but rather the entire family. Any prayers, or well wish's or anything that can be done to help to encourage Maggie would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a link to Maggie's webpage that will provide you with any information you need to help support the cause. I want to take this time to personally thank each and every one of you for your time! Also, I'd like to thank Jason for making some suggestions on how we could help!

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
Thank you everyone! Just something as simple as letting someone know that they are in your prayers can move mountains and and give just enough hope to make it through one more day! May God bless you all for your thoughts and prayers!
Peace!!

Keep fighting Maggie !
Wow, this is way too eerily familiar. Our pastors daughter from California, around the same age, just lost her fight with Wilms after 3 years. Please pass their info on if they need more support and advice, they said they love to help, they tried everything, even advanced stem cell stuff in Isreal:

It is good to be reminded that everyone deals with real life, and some have more to deal with than others. I find it heart-wrenching that a 6-year-old would have to fight for her life against a terrible disease. I wish her all her family the very best in this fight, and my thoughts and prayers are with her along with the rest of the gang here at 11W.
Sending prayers her way!
Sending prayers for Maggie and all those who love her. Onward and upward!
