It was a stick. A few friends and I were roaming down lane after some heavy drinking (we were banking on a snow day) and stumbled upon the group who sculpted this.

Edit: I see I was a little overzealous and late on this one.

They did this next to Taylor Tower a few years ago when I was at OSU. Pretty sweet.

Yup, it was the winter of 2008-2009, my girlfriend was living at Taylor Tower during that time. Pretty sure someone made it on a weekend, and we got the next day off. I remember walking past it right after they canceled school for the next day. We had like three consecutive years with snow days; considering the army that OSU employs to prevent such occurences, that's pretty awesome.

Also, Colin's right; it's a stick holding the dot of the "i" up.

I like Jason's better than the Script Ohio (both very good though). As impressive as the i dot is it should have been a mini-snowman holding a sousaphone.
