My wife is a school teacher and every year the principal does something called the tournament of roses. He assigns each classroom a school and the teachers and kids have to come up with a creative design dedicated to that university. This year my wife was blessed with the Buckeyes. This is quite a responsibility, as most the principal is a diehard Buckeye Fan. Anyway, weeks ago, she asked me, what should I do??? I said, you know, a neat idea that probably noone has done yet is to implement a Buckeye Grove theme. I expalined what that is. Anyway, each door she put scarlet paper on and cut a large rectangle out so the wood grain looked like a tree trunk. Each kid colored buckeye leaves and then they completed the tree on the door with those leaves. She did this on both doors. The wall between doors she put Buckeye Grove really big, under she gave a helmet to color and an Ohio Shaped paper "plaque" with the kids name on it. I gave her a bunch of my swag to put on a table and a throw blanket to cover it up with. Now, she needs some facts about the school. Not neccessarily football related just stuff about the school in general. I know a lot about the program but I didn't go to school there. So, what do you all have for me?

Ohio State has the largest enrollment of any single main-campus institution in the country, with 56,000+ students enrolled in their Columbus campus.
ASU and UCF have larger enrollments in one city, but both consist of multiple campuses.
Also, The University System of Ohio, of which Ohio State is a member institution (and the largest) is the largest university system in the country; and the 12th largest in the world, with 478,000 students (sixth largest, according to collegestats.com).
Ohio State's first graduating class was in 1878 (also the first year it was changed to its present name from Ohio A & M), 2012's Spring Commencement alone graduated 10,642 students.
Good stuff, thanks guys. I figured Wikipedia would have a lot of info, was fishing for a little more than just standard stuff too though!
Ohio State's Athletic Department supports more varsity sports than any other athletic department in the world.
