I have a question for the more tech savvy peeps on this site. I have been recording this seasons football games and really would like to have them burnt to DVD's'. Is it possible to do it? I have Direct TV's HD box with a DVR. It is not the newest box you get, but it is up to date. How can I get the games from the DVR on to my laptop and then burnt?
Thanks for your help,
Doc

I don't know if you can record and burn the game through your laptop, but you can do it with a DVD recorder. Here's a pretty simple way to do it on eHow: http://www.ehow.com/how_5098494_burn-dvd-dvr.html
@William
Thanks for the link, actually have about 20 games or so on my DVR that was wanting to get off.
Pay It Forward!
I had a look at the link (and I am not sure if this matters to you Doc) but you will not get an HD recording using the composite video cables as described in William's link. You may want to look into whether or not this can be accomplished with an HDMI cable.
William, thanks for the link. I looked around on that site and there is a ton of info.
Stu, I think I can get a pretty good recording using a firewire cable. I'm not sure what "output" plugs my directv box has. I'll look into it tonight.
