Debacle with a capital 'D' lol. She really didn't know the situation though so it is hard to fault her. Just a REALLY bad coincidence with her comments.
Honestly though, how was she supposed to know that he was physically disabled. He asked her to a race, so one would think that that person was at least capable of running in a race. Her response was a little rude, but in know means did she mean to make fun of his injuries. It's not like she can just google search all of her followers....
Agreed with all of the above comments. Track athletes get a bit touchy because people say things like Denard did about being able to compete with Bolt when they have very little concept of how fast these people are.
Unfortunate coincidence... but had it been directed at anyone else everyone would have laughed (or had no idea it happened).
It should almost be a relief for LeGrand. He hasn't been Eric for a while. To the world, he has been that football guy who got paralyzed. Here was a case of someone who didn't know, and treated him just like anyone else, and not with kid gloves. I would imagine he got a laugh about that.

"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
This is one of those horrifically funny tweets. Funny only because of pure uncomfort. I feel bad for her, I believe she was ignorant of the matter.
That woman is a PR nightmare. She needs a publicist, badly.

She's hot. Therefore, I will give her the benefit of the doubt.
No, but really - she didn't know. More much ado about nothing, but in this Twitter day & age - everything's amplified.

He took it in stride, that i think, is what is most important.

I am sorry...but i would totally take her V-card.
I dont always root for college athletics, but when i do (which is most of the time) I choose THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
This is nothing more than media driven mock outrage. I am glad that LeGrand didn't take offense. Others should follow his example.
