Not a huge one but we are buying a new house and talking about the exterior color. I prefer brown colors and she was stuck on pure white houses. I refused to paint a garage and trim to all white because the house is not a colonial. So then I pull up a picture of the house and start to hold paint samples over the garage. She gets interested in a light gray color and I was like no, I hate all gray houses.
She then points out the door is red and it is not only our wedding colors but also buckeye colors, and then points out my flag out front would fit! I could not argue!
So she feels so happy she won (to the point she is bragging on facebook) but yet I don't feel defeated at all. Either I am really dumb or my buckey fandom is so deep seeded that it tricked not only my wife into arguing for the exact colors I would want but also into me arguing vehemently that I don't want gray so that my wife would feel like she won when in actuality I'M GETTING A SCARLET AND GRAY HOUSE!!!

Ha well played. Me and my wife had a similar discussion about two weeks ago, as we are building a house as well. Then I just told her, don't make it an obnoxious color. I am of the mind that after 3 months or so, its not a "new house", its simply the house. The outside color is really the last thing I notice anymore.
She/We decided on a Dark green and red door, amazingly she selected the colors I was pursing earlier in the day without her.
I however cannot claim the Scarlet and Grey factor, that must add a factor of +1000 to the house I am sure.

Unfortunately I am in Louisville. Funny thing is, if it was UK blue and white, it would be worth more here than Cardinal colors. lol

I live in SC and accidently built a house next to a UofM fan...The builder was using 1 main siding color and an additional accent color. My choice...Gray and Scarlet...I see your flag and raise you a house! Take that neighbor...Take that!

@klfeck, I will so resemble your hero worship! I am so stoked my house will be Scarlet and Gray. In fact, I went to Home Depot after I wrote this post and Glidden has team colors already coded and ready for when I want to order it! Scarlet, Gray, White and black.
when i moved to vegas with 4 buddies that play poker we got an amazing deal on the house bcuz the inside was bright scarlet. 3 of us were pumped the guy from wisconsin and great britain thought we were insane esp on gamedays lol
