Nice! No way, we landed on the moon! We landed on the moon! Don't feel bad I forgot he coached the Bucs to until I saw the "knocking Eli down" press conference .
@TennBuckeye19, If I remember correctly, during last week's post-game presser Schiano said they would do it again in a similar situation. Glad to see him stick to his guns
@MTOTS --- I agree. I like that he is sticking to his guns. And, if that situation (in the Bucs/Giants game) were reversed & it was the Super Bowl winning coach's team doing that against the rookie head coach...I don't think there would have been as much outcry, (i.e. ESPN talking heads writing articles bashing Schiano.) Play till the clock hits 0:00. If the Bucs would have knocked the ball lose, and returned it for a game-tying touchdown...everyone would have been saying how great of a coaching move that was by Schiano.
If the game is a blowout & there is no chance to come back, then yes, just let them take a knee---but, if it's within 1 possesion, then it's certainly okay to try to force a fumble.
By the way, in 2009, Schiano's Rutgers team twice forced fumbles against teams in the "Victory Formation". There have been other games where a team has fumbled in that formation and the other team has recovered the fumble, and came back to win the game.

[Edit: I had to go back and award you a Buckeye leaf for that one.]

Go Bucks!!!
Wait we got Bin Laden? ;)
@M TOS lololz
Don't feel too bad, I also missed it. Wasn't Rutgers 4-8 in 2010?
BTW: Did you guys see the Bucs did the same thing this weekend when Romo & the Cowboys were taking a knee?
