Just saw the Buckshot as well. The Deadspin article is about 2,000 words too long, I'll have to read it in parts...like a book or something.
I just started following her on Twitter, was referred to her by Condescending Wonka (also a good follow) for her hilarious sports tweets. Bizarre.

Some have said that Wonka is in on the scam having stolen that handle from the originator of the Wonka name.
Check out the tweets by @AwfulAnnouncing, he has some pretty good info on the situation. Still blows me away.
Is there a fake twitter account not linked to this story? John Madden, Bill Walton, Wonka, Happy Gilmore, Wolfpack, etc.
Well she owns CondescendingWonka. If you look at the updates that Jason linked in the buckshots comment you see where she, or the person who owns her Twitter account, admits that she bought it and runs it.
The awful announcing twitter does have a lot of info. Thanks for the info RDUBS
ILLUMINATI!!!! EVERYONE RUN
@BTAlbert - Apparently the sale was never official and the original "owner" of the account now has it back (Kyle Cameron or something).
Yeah I think she "bought" a lot of Twitter and at least one Facebook thing. I don't think she ever really paid them any money, then when the Deadspin article came out, people all the sudden got control of their Twitter accounts again.
Two things seem pretty clear to me, she was using ESPN's name to get people on board, and I need to start a parody Twitter account. WTF, who knew you could make a ton of money by making goofy quotes using a character someone else made up.
