Ray Small - Drug Charges

you know what -- remember how Ray Small bad-mouthed Coach Tressel, (a la Mo Clarett)...you know who the first person to reach out to Small would probably be?....Jim Tressel.

Knowing Coach Tressel, he is the type of guy who is loyal no matter what. And, even though Small was known for his off-the-field antics more than his on-field play, Jim Tressel would be one of the first guys to reach out to him. Tressel has more character in his pinky toe than most SEC coaches have in their whole body.

LOL.

I'm sorry, I should probably have a more mature response, but after this guy trashed my school and one of my idol's, I can't really feel sorry for him. I realize that everyone makes mistakes and deserves to be forgiven most of the time, but honestly? It's like he heard what jokes were being said about him after he "tattled" and then went ahead and proved everyone right.

Let's hope he cleans up like Mo did, but for his own sake.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

Its pretty sad, but also not surprising. Sometimes people just don't get it. Jim Tressel gave this kid chance after chance, and he repeatedly just couldn't get it right. And I'm pretty sure you're right bucks. Chances are if he hasn't reached out to him already, he most certainly will shortly. Not saying ray small will accept it, but I'm damn sure tress will try. Because at the end of the day, every one of these young men who came to play for him will always have him in their corner. No matter what, he will try to help them through dark times and struggles. He helped mo c get his act together, just like I'm sure he will be there for ray if he allows him to be.

I don't rejoice in anyones failures in life, nor do I take any joy in seeing someone who had so much promise and a chance to be something better fall down. I hope for himself and his family he can take this as a lesson and get himself back on a better path than this.

I'm just surprised (and thankful!) it didn't happen sooner.
