Hey guys and girls. Going to do a recruiting mail bag this week. Hit me up below with all the questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them all! Thanks in advance and this should be fun.

May be a little wierd of a question, but why hasn't osu offered '13 Mike McCray from Trotwood yet?
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Will we get an interview from Cam Williams on his recent committment?
O-H-I-O
Does Dodson commit before NSD? How sure are you that he comes to tOSU?
O-H-I-O
Are we going to go after Jaylon Smith, Rod's brother?
Fan of bacon since 1981
Are we going to here from Neal anytime soon? Or should we start to cast the lines on this ship..?
I dont always root for college athletics, but when i do (which is most of the time) I choose THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
With the 2011 and 2012 classes stacked with defensive lineman, how do you see the staff recruiting that area in the limited 2013 class?
What was the success rate of Urban Meyer's 3, 4, and 5 star recruits in developing into pro level prospects relative to Jim Tressel, Pete Carroll, and Mack Brown.
My main question is; with all the talent in state in 2013, what is the reason Meyer and Co. felt they had to take 25ish+ in this class. And, in relation to that, is a coach allowed to get rid of guys he doesn't want in the recruiting class when he takes over, or is that really frowned upon? Not saying Meyer should have done that but does a new HC have the option?
With the level of talent they are pulling in this year, I'm ok with a class of 15 next year. Plus who knows after spring ball or following next season who the team will lose that could open up a couple of more schollies for next year. In my opinion, if you are inline to possibly have the number 1 recruiting class in the country this year, you jump on the opportunity because recruits are fickle. Lets lock down what we can now and hope for the best next year. It's possible before the summer that 3, 5 star level players will be committed for next season. It may be a smaller class next year but it looks like it's going to be a loaded small class.
Sorry just realized that was a recruiting mailbox question!
What currently committed guys do you see redshirting? Competing for starting jobs?
What are your primary positions of need for '13?
Alex, how do you think Kyle Kalis feels now that Urban has pretty much locked down the Ohio border, I mean didn't he say "the border is now open"lol?
I know this is a hard question to answer, but which recruit do you see making the most impact their freshman year?
Do you think Meyer will take the scholarship hit as 3 each year for three years, or break it up differently? (Assuming he has the option to do that)
Is there any chance Dorial Green-Beckham takes a last minute visit?
Has anybody ever told this "Alex" fella that he reminds me of the next Percy Harvin of recruiting info. ?
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Do you know if Meyer is going to make an attempt at Shaq Thompson? I read that he was reconsidering his commitment to Cal due to the coaching changes there.
Will we go over the 25 scholly limit this year? Is that even possible, I thought the B1G prohibited that. If it happens, how should we feel morally after bashing the SEC for doing that?
Class of 2016. Go Bucks!
any info. on Diggs ?
@Bucks43201 - and if he outgrows that then he's the perfect next Aaron Hernandez!
I never thought I'd learn so many UF players' histories.
You've said you think Neal is the kind of kid you wait for... would you mind explaining a bit more as to why you wait? I just get a gut feeling that kids that do this can end up being more trouble than they're worth.
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Any word from Armani Reeves after Cameron William's visit? Do we have a chance at the last two remaining 4-star Rivals PSU commits? I recall one was a wide receiver and the other was also a position of need for Bucks...this might be a one year opportunity to clean up in Unhappy-Valley.
Surprising that Urban hasn't landed any Florida kids that I can recall...your thoughts?
Latest updates on two OT's one from Ohio & other from Chicago?
Thanks!
Btw - be glad we didn't Klueless-Klassless-Kalis!!
Alex, is there any chance that Dwayne Stanford joins teammate Adolphus Washington at Ohio State if Oregon ends up picking up Thomas Johnson, the stud WR who recently decommitted from Texas?
Kicker and punter are not usually high interest positions until they FUBAR things, but are there any on the horizon that are must gets?
How, if at all, will the scholarships be distributed at positions.
Any chance that Davidson still comes to Columbus? I have noticed they are in the running for another high profile tackle.
With the anticipation of Ohio's rich crop in 2013, which out-of-state recruits will Urban
FrankF'ing Meyer & Co. pursue for next year's haul?"The revolution will be televised."
Reports surfacing that Chip Kelly is in line to be the next head coach in Tampa Bay. I see a few players from Ohio on Oregon's commitment list. Anybody that we may still be interested in? This could provide an opening. I would think Kelly recruits the type of players that Meyer likes.
I really home that when Urban goes to see Dodson for the in-home visit, that Dodson's grandma (big OSU fan/influential to him) is there....Urban will close the deal, and Dodson will be signed within a day or two after if she's there.

Keep them coming these are great folks
I've been surprised this year to see midwestern recruits looking to southern schools. Is this just SEC-loathing paranoia, or is there really a burgeoning trend of moonshine-drinking and hillbillying among these young whippersnappers? If so, why?
who do you expect to be redshirted this year?

Guys, any questions you have for me, please try to put in here....trying to answer all of them in all of our threads, but this Thursday I will have a Recruiting Mailbag in lieu of the notebook to try and get all of your pre-NSD questions answered!
Anyone on the offensive side of the ball you see having decent chance at playing time their first year, southward, dunn, ball among others?
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Does Jalin Marshal have a real chance of playing QB at OSU? Where would you project him, since he's an ATH, RB, WR, or QB based on who you ask?
This may be a separate post entirely, but how would you rank the 2012 recruits individually, based upon our positions of need?
Alex,
Could you list backups to all our targeted players so we(okay mostly I) know who will be in play if any/all of our main prospects fall through?

last call for mail bag questions
hypothetical but do you think with Meyer and 2013 class behind them can this class can win a NC in 2015-16?
muck fichigan
Last question Alex, will the "mail bag" be a ongoing occurence? Think it's a great idea (figured this would be a great question to wrap your "mail bag" with, LOL)~!
what happened with Jordan Diamond? We kinda didn't pursue him as vigourously as the others, was he just not as talented? was it in attitude thing? or was it the commitments of Decker and O'Connor?
How many of class of 2012 do you see getting legit playing time? Meaning not just on special teams
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
With all the elite D-lineman and pass rusher recruits the last 2 years do you see a switch in defensive scheme? I know we we play some 3-4 with the leo but do yo see us switching to a more natural 3-4 kinda like what Alabam runs. For instance our 2013 D would look something like this:
LB-Shazier LB- Grant
OLB. DL. NT. DL. OLB
Spence A. Wash. Hank. Bennet. J. Marcus/Miller
Farris/Schutt/Hale/Hayes rotating on DL
Pittman and Marcus or Miller rotating in at DE/OLB
Perkins/Williams/Crowell backup LB
Are you forgetting about the seniors we have on the defensive line? Simon and Williams?
Class of 2016. Go Bucks!
