Reviews of Big Ten Campus/Towns

So, I read MGoBlog cuz it's the beacon by which all blogs should be judged really, and today Brian did what I think all Big Ten blogs should do and did a "Where to eat when you are in town to watch football review" If every Big Ten blog did this or something like it, it would get linked at every other Big Ten blog when they were visiting. (That's pageviews by opposing fan bases guys!) I think it should be expanded into not just eating/drinking, but also, site seeing, hotels, campgrounds, whatever else in the area (like if you have something special, ie Cosi in C-bus for the kiddos, or a museum or something).

So 11W staff, you should copy this idea. Everyone else, you should read Brian's article here: http://mgoblog.com/content/guide-ann-arbor-eating-drinking#comment-1206039

I don't agree with all the opinions Brian expresses. My two cents are that Blimpy Burger was on FoodNetwork once and it deserved it because you can order a limitlessly huge burger with lots of fried sides, you should try it once as long as you don't have a heart condition, cuz it is greasy. Zingerman's is great, the bread is top notch, September is Spanish month (not that any Buckeyes will be up there in September) and they have fresh made paella on Saturday afternoons, plus your wife/gf/mother will love it and they have super huge sandwhiches that you will love. The Maize-Blue Deli, despite it's name, is great and is the winner of the sandwhich war though, cuz they are all about the meat and lots of it, Zingerman's is more bread-centric. Fritas is a good choice for Brian's favorite place, I'll agree with him 100% on that. I would never tell you to go to BWW's as your watch spot, but he's right lots of TVs type options are sparse.

The Only Colors did it too, and first, and much more in depth.

When I was travelling to away games, these are things I wanted out of opposing team's blogs. I went to Illini, no help, stayed in a hotel 45mins away, drank at some bar on Green St, it was decent. Went to NW, did downtown Chicago upon friends' recommendations. Went to Indiana, stayed in hotel that was walking distance to stadium, found nothing of fun/note to do.

I'm thinking about going to Nebrasky this year, but might not have the money. I'm considering Penn St or Wisky next year, but will have a baby, so it might not happen.

Did anybody read these? Was this too close to actual football to get attention?
