Add this on top of the injury woes facing Michigan's 2014-15 men's basketball squad: talented sophomore Derrick Walton Jr. will be sidelined "for awhile" due to turf toe.

From Mark Snyder of Freep.com:

"We don't anticipate he will be back for a while," coach John Beilein said. "It will be some time. We're going to give him great rest and hopefully the foot will get better and the turf toe as well. I don't have a definite date, but it won't be for the foreseeable future."

Walton Jr. is averaging ~11 points a game this campaign and missed Sunday's game against Michigan State. This injury will come at a bad time for Michigan. The Wolverines' schedule for February: Iowa, at Indiana, at Illinois, Michigan State, and Ohio State.
