Via r/CFB, comes this article about the ridiculous longevity among Jerry Kill's staff. It's an interesting read for any Ohio State fan — not only because the young gurus Urban Meyer retains will eventually be poached — but because Ohio State could again face Minnesota if the Golden Gophers handle their business against Wisconsin on Saturday.

From Pat Borzi of The New York Times:

MINNEAPOLIS — It took a few moments for Matt Limegrover, Minnesota’s offensive coordinator and line coach, to remember the last time another university tried to lure him from Coach Jerry Kill’s staff. He surmised it might have been after the 2011 season, the first that he, Kill and Tracy Claeys, the defensive coordinator, spent with the Golden Gophers.

Limegrover declined to name the university that approached him, but he turned it down. Claeys likewise rebuffed multiple inquiries after last season, when he was Minnesota’s acting head coach for seven games while Kill recovered from an epileptic seizure.

Claeys returned this season for his 20th year assisting Kill, and Limegrover his 16th, leading perhaps the most loyal group of assistants in college football’s top division.

At this point, my man-crush on Jerry Kill couldn't reach a new level even if I witnessed him dragging my unconscious mother from a burning building. And it's why I say with 100% honesty that Michigan should take a long, hard look at Minnesota's frontman.
