Brady Hoke Dismisses Wide Receiver Csont'e York From Michigan Football Team

Looks like Brady Hoke finally got around to watching that Scorekeeper's surveillance video of Csont'e York throwing a sucker punch and knocking the consciousness out of some unsuspecting Michigan man.

A week after saying there was "no question" York remained with the team, the Hokester reversed course and completely severed ties with the former three-star recruit.

Kudos to Hoke for doing the right thing, but I'm still wondering what took so long?

I think Hoke likes to say one thing, wait about a week, then do the opposite. First with his statement about not firing any of his staff and now with saying York remained on the team

Or, you know, we're gonna win all the games, and then go 7-6.

Hey, we have been counseled on the fat jokes numerous times about how they are getting old and are not funny anymore.  We are even reminded that when we do that we act like Alabama fans.  So what you are supposed to do is make your statement look like this so it is acceptable:

Or when he says, "I'm done eating".   Roll Tide!

May you R.I.P. Otsego, but know this. Gaylord Rocks!

Oyster - personally, as long as the jokes are original, I really don't see anything wrong with it.  Seeing the same old Hoke gif or picture can get old at times, but he's scUM's coach, and that means it's open season.  We are going to have much more time for this, especially if they have a crappy year.  How are we going to make fun of Harbaugh when they open the bank for him, and he eventually becomes their new head coach (God forbid)?

Too easy.  We make fun of his drinking problem and his brother in law.  Here is an example,

How many drinks does it take Jim on Thanksgiving to actually talk to Tom?   Roll Tide!

May you R.I.P. Otsego, but know this. Gaylord Rocks!

True, but he will actually make them a damn good team.

I wouldn't think he would leave the NFL for college.  Recruiting alone is enough to keep a person away.  NFL = Off Season  College = Recruiting during the off season.

Good. Kid deserved to get kicked off for pulling a bs, immature stunt like that.

You can feed a bobcat all the chili it wants. That don't mean it's going to crap out diamonds.

Funny, didn't Jeremy Hill do this same thing and get reinstated? SEC! SEC!

Now this is one thing I can praise our enemy on.  I'd have kicked his punk ass off the team last week, but hey, he's gone and no football has been played so....

You just need Hoke's decision chart:

MICHIGAN'S FELONY DISCIPLINARY POLICY
1 Star Recruit / Scout Team Player Immediate Dissmissal
2 Star Recruit / Scout Team / 3rd String Wait 1 to 2 Days, then Dissmissal
3 Star Recruit / 2nd String Umm, errr, Still with Team,  Umm errr aaaa, Dismissal (after at least 1 week to review circumstances)
4 Star Recruit / 2nd String, Borderline Starter Umm, errr, aaaa, oooo, well, Suspended but still with team.
5 Star Recruit / Starter Umm, err, aaa, well, He's a good young man, aaa, made a mistake, and aaaa err well we talked about it, and err mmm aaa, it seems aaa errrrr well he should miss maybe aaaa errr the first  aaaa series of the er aaa next game. / (Or just completly ignore it all together.)

That's metric-fuck-ton of felons/felonies.  But I see the trend.  1 star, "BOOM ROAR, I'M SENDING A MESSAGE, BRUH THIS IS MICHIGAN"; 5 stars, "the kid just made a mistake".

What was the end result legally? Or is that process still incomplete at this point?

Thank the Maker that I was born in Ohio, cradle of coaches, US Presidents, confederate-stomping Generals, and home of The Ohio State University Football Buckeyes!

Good, timely decision. Can't bitch about this.

Right decision, albeit just a couple days delayed.

I do hope this kid gets his act together though - his football career at Michigan might be over, but he may still have a chance at an education (though probably not at UM at least).  Made a very bad, dumb mistake but I hate to see anyone waste their future away over something they did at 19 or 20 years old.
