LSU, Texas A&M To Kick-Off at 6:30 on Thanksgiving Night

Here's something that puts a wrench into the argument of "student-athletes are like regular students." Granted, it's been a few years since I've been in college, but I do recall getting Thanksgiving off.

Texas A&M and LSU footballers won't, though. From the Facebook announcement:

This Just In: the #LSUvsTAMU Thanksgiving game will kick at 6:30 pm onESPN #12thMan 

Are Thanksgiving games about to be the new trend? Don't get me wrong, I'll watch, because it will be better than any game involving the Detroit Lions. Yet, I'm not sure how this fits into the overall (proclaimed) goal of college sports.
