Malik McDowell is Officially a Michigan State Spartan

Malik McDowell was a five-star defensive end who simply wanted to go to Michigan State. McDowell's mother wanted her son to play elsewhere.

February 5th's National Signing Day came and went, and the two were unable to reconcile their differences. Today, however, it appears our long, national nightmare is over:

Best of luck to Malik McDowell, who hopefully isn't a victim of East Lansing's vibrant party life.

This kid is gonna get teased every day by senior players and possibly even coaches. "Hey McDowell, you sneak out last night after Momma tucked you in?" He'd better be good which will be the only way to end the taunts.

Good for you Dawg.

Do people even say that anymore?

I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.

Can you imagine if he makes it someday to the NFL - Mom just might be overlooked.

I hope sighed and faxed has the same result as signed and faxed.

Whatever. Glad it is over. Wish him luck, except for a handful of games... You know which ones I am talking about. ;)

Here's a quote to set your head spinning, per Bleacher Report ~~Seantrel Henderson was once considered the No. 1 high school football prospect in the country. Now he is in danger of not being drafted this season.

His was another signing day show never to be forgotten!
