Iowa State's prodigious men's basketball coach, Fred Hoiberg, is headed to Chicago today to finalize his contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to CBS' Gary Parish.

The Bulls are just the latest NBA team to poach a wunderkind from the collegiate ranks. Former Butler coach Brad Stevens led Even Turner, Jared Sullinger, and band of stiffs to a 40-42 record in his first year as coach of the Boston Celtics.

The consensus seems to be that this is a good move for the Bulls, but after their acrimonious playoff exit to the Cleveland Cavaliers, anything is a step up for a team that openly detested its own coach last season.
