Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan might seem like a blood-thirsty vampire on the sideline, but in an appearance with Seth Davis on Campus Insiders, Ryan did a bit to assuage that notion.

Ryan, you see, doesn't believe in bed checks or curfews. It turns out, he trusts the 18-22 year-olds he cherry picks from all over the country.

From Chris Vannini of CoachingSearch.com:

“These are college students, and we talk to them about proper eating habits, sleep habits, taking care of your mind, taking care of your body,” he said. “With the schoolwork our guys have, there are times they might have to stay up pretty late for a test. Maybe because of a road trip. Maybe we got behind as a student in a class and had to get some notes and do some things. I don’t go checking on my players. They’re 18-22 years old. No (bed checks). They also want to play on a team that’s successful, and they don’t want to let the team down.

“We’ve maybe had an incident or two in the 14 years I’ve been here, where somebody did something that needed to be addressed, but you know what? There are 18- to 22-year-olds that aren’t playing college basketball that are messing up. They realize they are in the limelight, the focus is on them, so they’ve tried. They’ve done a pretty good job over the years, and I’m proud of them.”

That's... a pretty rock-solid take there, Bo.
