The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is a metaphor for college basketball futility. Since its move to Division I, the program has set NCAA records for a consecutive-game losing streak (51 games) and had the most losses in a winless season in NCAA history.

This year has not been much better for NJIT. NJIT is 2-5. It lost to Albany by 17 points. It lost to UMASS Lowell... twice.

It beat Michigan today by a score of 72-70 and, for that, we salute you, NJIT.
