Carlos had a very good game against Indiana according to those highlights.

Amen to that brotha! If I have to have a shirt made at the local screen printing store, I am gettin' me an EL Guapo t-shirt before football season, now that the cat is out of the bag. Whether it's legal or not.

Dude is a beast. What I love about that video is that it works equally well as an O-line highlight video. He'd get ten years down the field before someone touched him! Then he'd smash the safety for another ten.
A cut north and on to bigger and better things ten yards beyond the line of scrimmage -- like breaking face masks.
Dude's got a Beast Mode switch and Urban located it.
Anybody thinking maybe Mr. Hyde should be promoted for the Heisman? I've also been thinking that maybe the reason Braxton doesn't win the Heisman after this season is because Hyde takes plays away from him, and possibly the reason Hyde won't win the Heisman is because Braxton takes plays away from Hyde, sort of like an Al Gore & Ralph Nader thing from 2000. Thoughts?
If Hyde had Boeckman as his QB and had Walrus/Tressel calling plays then I could see him getting some Heisman hype (kind of like Beanie did). As it is, there's just going to be too many guys getting the ball, and not to mention Miller ran for more yards last year (ideally that's not the case this year).
Regarding the yardage issue of Miller vs. Hyde, Hyde missed a few games last year due to injury, and he wasn't "The Man" until Hall went down. Also, Miller ran a lot of times last year when he should have made the correct read to give Hyde the ball.
Just thinking out loud that maybe Hyde has never had the respect he maybe should have gotten. However, maybe the lack of respect lends to him running angry.
Then we should all do our part to make him even angrier this year!

Appreciate the 11W staff featuring the video here!! Much love. One thing I failed to showcase in the video that I wish I could have, was just how clutch Hyde was this past season, particularly in our two OT games - He scored the winning TDs in both of them. He also converted a 4th & short against Purdue when we had the ball near our own 20. He might not be the flashiest, but damn is he reliable. The O-line deserves a lot of credit too, as somebody else said...Carlos was oftentimes 10yds down field before being touched. He would've easily surpassed 1,000 yards had it not been for him missing a few games. Can't wait for next year.
We simply are not a championship team this year if Hyde bolted for the NFL.
So glad to have him back this year!

Smith was a quality relief back but nothing that Hyde brought to the table. Dunn will take over this season as Hydes relief. Great vid of Hyde by the way.

All I could think while watching that video was how many td's did Hyde score last year? I hope to see many more this year.

Carlos runs hard, and the great thing is he kept getting better as the season went on.
Ran the clip a second time to watch the offensive line. Really like what I see. I would love to see Fragel on the Browns roster this fall.

Without Carlos Hyde we don't go 12-0. He was amazing at grinding out games at the end.
The best part, by far, was him mocking deretard with that last first down. Best moment of the season!

Enough old man ranting, what struck me the most was how quick he was able to bounce plays outside the tackles when he needed to- he gets credit for being a bruiser, but he has some jets too...

I agree with the poster who said Hyde kept getting better and better throughout the season. I started the season thinking Jordan Hall was clearly the better back. It wasn't that I didn't like Hyde as a running back, I just thought Hall could do more.
But as the season went on, Hyde consistently did all those things I didn't think he could. He's not a spectacular back, but he is ONE DAMNED FINE FOOTBALL PLAYER.
Reminds me of Raymont Harris quite a bit. Not a spectacular back either, but would get you 5 yards almost every damned time he touched it, including Third and Three, Third and Four type situations.
If you're a coach...say an Urban Meyer, and it's third down and 4...4th qtr...Buckeyes lead 24-21...ball on your own 25 yard line...1:34 seconds to go...who you gonna call?
