As Ohio State, Alabama and most other campuses host dozens of official recruiting visitors, the vacationing Notre Dame coach is Philly's only target. (nbcsports.com)
ESPN just ran an interview that the Eagles are interviewing the Seahawks DC Gus Bradley. I'm still convinced that Kelly's interview was a ploy to up his pay; I see Chip Kelly leaving for the NFL before Brian Kelly ever does, but just my two cents.
The "I'm bigger than Notre Dame" vibe Kelly is giving off by doing what he's doing could backfire. Notre Dame as an institution isn't keen on dick-measuring contests.
“Like every kid who has ever put on a pair of football cleats, I have had thoughts about being a part of the NFL. However, after much reflection and conversation with those closest to me, I have decided to remain at Notre Dame. This decision was motivated purely by my love for Notre Dame and the entire Fighting Irish community, the young men I have the great fortune to coach, and my desire to continue to build the best football program in the country. We still have a lot of work to do and my staff and I are excited about the challenges ahead.”
Kind of glad he is staying at ND. Imagine Sal Pal's 24 hr coverage of the Philly meltdown, if Kelly would have gone purple on Deshawn Jackson or Vick. Latrell vs Carlisimo comes to mind.

I don't care about the Eagles at all, but I am hoping for this just out of morbid curiousity to see the ND meltdown.
My personal opinion is that its better if its ND as compared to the SEC. One is a team, one is a conference but recently you wouldn't know any better.
Would we have any legitimate shot at Jaylon Smith if Kelly did leave?
Says he will stay.

I tend to agree with your point and here is the link.
Kelly will have a second interview though.

More into dick-clipping contests, am I right?
I think you're mistaking Notre Dame for Yeshiva or Brandeis University.
i have a feeling the Doomer meltdown will be something like this
Or he could be from the Tyrone Willingham school of recruiting. Notre Dame recruits itself.
Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
he's going to make it rain on some stripper with the pay increase he got

Philly must be getting kickbacks for all of the raises they have helped secure for college coaches.
On to other targets.
